The Haverford Public Spaces Project is a new community initiative to create and improve our public spaces throughout Haverford Township. We believe that well-designed parks, plazas, and street corridors are the foundation of a connected, thriving community.
Our parks, streets, and public spaces say a lot about who we are as a community. When they're beautiful, welcoming, and alive with activity, they can spark new connections and make all of us feel less alone. We're starting the Haverford Public Spaces Project to find other like-minded people that want to help make this a reality for more of us, in all of our public spaces.
We are a community-led group supporting the planning initiatives put forward by Haverford Township, particularly around improving, activating, and creating more public spaces. Places where neighbors can gather, kids can play, and everyone can feel a deep sense of pride in where they live.
You may or may not know that our leaders, with significant resident input, have spent the past several years putting together a bold, detailed vision for the future of this community, called Haverford 2035, and that in June 2025 the Board of Commissioners voted to make it official.
If you're at all interested in where Haverford Township sees itself in the next ten years, we invite you to spend some time learning about the vision document, called the Comprehensive Plan. Don't worry, we read all 119 pages so you don't have to.
